Harvard Museum of Natural History houses thousands of artifacts in clear display cases. Though traditional in format, guests of all ages excitedly view a window into the natural world. In this mock identity redesign, shapes within each letterform allude to the traditional cases and are contrasted by modern typography.

Urban advertising has been celebrated and scorned, policed and embraced. Modern urban advertising adds surveillance into the equation. This booklet, with excerpts from Places Journal, uses geometric rectangles in varying orientations to tell the story of this wide-ranging history.

The Maynard Veteran’s Memorial is beautiful and permanent with names, dates and type of service. The underutilized adjacent space (image below) has potential to be dynamic with more personal stories from local service members. This early concept considers a simple pergola to enclose the space and enable projection of text on the ground.
