Liza Rutenbeck is a multidisciplinary designer based in Massachusetts.

In work and life, I am most inspired by people — their curiosity, courage and resilience. Prior to spending several years as a stay-at-home parent, I worked at IDEO where I practiced human-centered design.

As a researcher and designer I believe it is critical to understand the greater context surrounding my work. When conducting design research, I interview, observe and listen to understand human behavior and uncover new design opportunities. My expertise in graphic design enables me to communicate complex ideas simply. I apply both methodologies to web design, helping fellow creative professionals and small organizations share their stories through their online presence.

This featured project on parenting combines research insights and visualizations.

I hold a BBA from Parsons School of Design and a certificate from Rhode Island School of Design Continuing Education (RISD CE).

I’d be excited to discuss how we might work together.
